Halloween

Halloween is here. There was a Citadel game the day of Halloween so this is how the day began...We had pictures at 9:10am at the Cabbage Patch, then directly off to the game...left the game and made it home just in time to throw on our costumes and head off to trick or treat and play games at the church. We had a fun time but Blakely (can't blame her) was very tired. Brock was Batman (the Black Knight) and Blakely was a precious dragonfly!

Blakely is 9 months

I cannot believe Blakely is 9 months old...where has the time gone. These pictures were taken a few days after she turned 9 months. I love the one of her and Brock...I took lots of pictures and got some cute ones of them each (by themselves) but when I tried to get one of them together...Brock would not smile...he finally gave a cheesy smile and Blakely is holding up her hands as to say, "Not sure why Bubba is being such a pill!"

  • Since last month....Blakely is busier than ever....she no longer just crawls she practically jets to where she wants to go.
  • Loves playing with all children...getting a little aggressive when she sees another child...young or old..she just gets SOOO excited about having another little person around.
  • has all four front teeth...and working on 2 more on the bottom and one more on top...I have a little gap between the front two teeth...which is so cute and Uncle Lucius says this great so I will have room for all my big teeth when I loose these baby ones.
  • Everyone (even strangers) say I look JUST like my MAMA. It really is crazy how much you look like me when I was your age...you are much prettier though!
  • getting more and more hair...coming in as a perfect little hairdo...able to put bows in it with out them sliding out.
  • sick on my 9 month day (10/23) so we went to the doctor and I weighed 20 pounds and 4 ounces.
  • Blakely loves to be heard...her vocals have developed quite dramatically and when she wants something, she tells you all about it and lets you know she is in the room.
  • Loves to take baths with Bubba
  • Drinking out of the sippy cup with no problems...loves apple and white grape juice. Still drinking formula from bottles...
  • Still napping 2 times a day, down for the night between 7:30 and 8:15ish, and up at 8 am!
  • Loves sleeping with lots of pacis in the crib and your favorite blanket...we call is Ba-BA because that is what Brock calls his but we know you will come up with your own name for your special blanket when the time comes.
  • love exploring
  • pulling up on everything and walking around furniture...will go from one piece to another with no problems...We think you will be walking soon...OH MY! Will even go from sitting in the middle of the floor and stand completely up (holding on to nothing)...but once you realize you are standing you quickly sit back down
  • Are ticklish, and love to laugh!
  • You sleep in this crazy way...beginning to think you may be a contortionist (not sure how to spell this)...You will sleep with on your side or tummy at first...but I will go in your room several times before I go to bed and you will either have both legs or at least one leg by the side of your face...it is so strange...I have worried it is not good to sleep like that...I usually move you to a better place but you usually end up right back the same way.

You love your big brother and laugh at everything he does. He thinks you are pretty cool too. He loves to go in your room on school days and make some "quiet" noise to help wake you up. Even though you are still somewhat asleep, you will stand up and coo and smile at him. I hope you two will always be close and love each other this much forever. You and Brock are the best. Bees, you continue to amaze me each day...I am so blessed to have a wonderful son and daughter...I thank God each day for blessing me with such beautiful children.

Brock's 4K class visits the Pumpkin Patch

Miss Judy and Miss Judy brought the 4K and 5K classes from WPC to the Pumpkin Patch...they got their pictures taken with the Great Pumpkin, heard a story, picked out a special pumpkin from the patch, and got their faces painted. It was a fun day for them!

Pumpkin Patch

Kingstree Community Youth has a Pumpkin Patch each year and I am there everyday (pretty much)...Brock loves going and will ask me each year, "When are the pumpkins coming in." I let him work with me one day and he had a ball. Blakely enjoyed it too.

Citadel Bulldogs

Blakely's first BULLDOGS tailgate...Brock had so much fun playing with Margaret, Tyler, Jak, Kam, and anyone over the age of two. It was hot and you can see all the kids got filthy! We love our Bulldogs! They lost by 3 in overtime...however they played a great game! Go Bulldogs!

Blakely is 8 months

These pictures were taken on September 26, 2009...a few days after Blakely turned 8 months old. Where has the time gone? She is smiling all the time...and being real goofy about it because she is still trying to figure this "teeth" thing out. Her two bottom teeth are pretty much all the way in and she is working hard on some up top now. This has been a fabulous month. From 7 months to now...
  • You started eating more Stage 2 baby foods...(still not a fan of the ones with meat in them but will tolerate them)
  • Eating more and more solids (bananas, noodles, mashed potatos, etc)
  • laughing at everything Brock does...he is just so funny! You love him sooo much...your eyes light up when you see him (and he loves you too)
  • crawling everywhere now...from one end of the house to another...not to mention pulling up on everything and walking around the furniture...you will even stand alone for a few seconds...getting more and more sure of yourself everyday....oh BOY!
  • you will move small objects toward you and pick them up (you seem to find every crumb on the floor)
  • started using your arms to ask me to pick you up from the floor...such a sweet thing!
  • reach for the spoon when you are being fed and turn away when you no longer hungry
  • babble da...ma..ni..ee
  • at the end of the month you started to understand "no"...or at least that you should look up and stop what you are doing.

On September 21, we took you to the doctor because you had a bad cold...ended up being an ear infection and they changed allergy medication...Singulair every night. At this appointment, you weighed 18 pounds and 14 ounces..

Blakely...you are such an amazing little girl...these last few months have been so much fun....I am looking forward to watching you grow up...even though I wish I could freeze time right now...because you are so darn cute! I love you Blakely (AKA: Beezie or BEBE)
